Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 May 2026

These Terms govern your use of the FieldOps mobile application, web app and website (together, the "Service") provided by FieldOps Pty Ltd (ABN 12 345 678 901, "FieldOps", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

FieldOps is a job-management tool for tradespeople — quoting, scheduling, invoicing and accepting payments. We provide the Service "as is" and continuously improve it. Features may be added, changed or removed.

2. Your account

3. Subscriptions and billing

4. Acceptable use

Don't:

5. Your data and content

You own your data — customers, jobs, photos, quotes, invoices. You grant FieldOps a limited licence to host, process and display that data solely to provide the Service to you. We will not access your customer records except where strictly necessary for support, security or legal compliance.

You can export your data as CSV at any time, including on the free tier. See the Privacy Policy for storage and retention details.

6. Payments via Stripe Connect

If you accept payments through FieldOps, you also enter a separate Stripe Connected Account Agreement with Stripe Payments Australia Pty Ltd. FieldOps doesn't take a cut of your invoices — Stripe's standard AU rates apply (1.7% + 30c domestic card at the time of writing; check Stripe for the current rate).

7. Intellectual property

FieldOps and its logos, design and code are owned by FieldOps Pty Ltd. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks beyond what's needed to use the Service.

8. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account any time — see Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that endangers other users, but only after reasonable notice except in urgent cases (e.g. fraud, security risk).

9. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights. For major failures you are entitled to cancel your subscription and obtain a refund of the unused portion; for other failures you are entitled to have the problem rectified within a reasonable time.

10. Disclaimers

Subject to the Australian Consumer Law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or that the Service will meet every requirement of your business.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or business interruption.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and FieldOps submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

Heads up: these Terms are a working draft. The published version will be reviewed by counsel before public launch.
